MARY LOUISE BEDARD

I offer over 35 years experience caring for children. My program includes rhythmic and seasonal activities with indoor and outdoor play, in a nurturing home setting. I am beginning my year with a small group of children. This enables me to extend an invitation to old and new acquaintances to come join in celebrating the festivals of our year. This invitation is extended to children of early childhood age(21/2 to 6), their families, and siblings. From all interested families, I will need a good two weeks notice before each festival of your intent to join us.  This will help me in planning ahead as well as letting you know how you can prepare for each event.

AVERY SUMNER

I’m a Waldorf trained early childhood teacher and homeschooling parent to my six-year-old daughter. I’m open to creating a family style care situation for one or two other children. My approach is a blend of forest schooling and unschooling and is solidly founded on the Waldorf and Anthroposophical picture of human development. I’m also considering offering an Earth Parenting program for parents and children aged pre-birth to 7. This would be a fully outdoor (in all weather) program exploring deep nature connection while parenting young children. I live in Hillsdale, NY.

CHRISTIAN SWENINGSEN

I taught high school physics in Waldorf schools for nine years. My special loves are demonstrations that are engaging and evocative; bringing an interest in the physical world from stories of humankind's interest and exploration through the years; and understanding the technologies that have come into our lives
In addition to "conventional" physics, with its understandings of the physical world and its technologies, I work in “Goethean” science – scientific understanding based directly in human experience.
Before coming to teaching I worked for many years in the solar heating field, installing and designing hundreds of systems. Through this I have decades of professional experience as an electrician, plumber and carpenter, and have taught classes in these.
I have a BS with a Physics concentration and a Waldorf high school teaching certificate.
I'm retired and not only seeking an income; rather, a chance to pass on the joy of discovery and understanding.
